Food Blog Traffic & Income Report – October 2025

November 1, 2025

It’s been way too long since my last traffic and income report, and I’m excited to share the numbers with you for October 2025!

I’m Taylor, the recipe creator, blog writer, SEO specialist, and food photographer here at Fresh Cup of Joy.

I am sharing this traffic and income report to (1) keep track of the numbers and have a succinct record of them for my own sake, and (2) share my food blogging journey with others! This is going to be a very real post, sharing exact numbers, income, and more. It’s been a while since I’ve shared my last report – over one year, so it’s about time for another milestone report.

Before jumping in, I want to say a heartfelt thank you for supporting Fresh Cup of Joy! Whenever you browse my site, try my recipe, and share with friends, it helps this little blogger out a ton.

Fresh Cup of Joy is now almost 3.5 years old, and while I go through phases of consistent sharing, we are chugging along in growth!

I have been focusing less on posting consistently every week (counterintuitive, I know), and more on sharing the recipes as they are ready. Sometimes that looks like sharing 3 in one week, and 1 in another. As I’ve been a professional SEO specialist working on others’ sites, I have learned a great deal about what Google wants and how blogging works. Each blog can rank, bring in traffic, and build authority, and the only way to do this is if they are shared. Google cares less about a person sticking to a consistent posting schedule, and more about the quality of the pages shared!

For me, waiting on sharing a blog because I’m trying to maintain a schedule means a backlog of drafts that may or may not be published. I am also always trying new recipes depending on the season, so honestly – I don’t even stick to a schedule at all. I post when I can, and the average is higher than when I had it all planned out!

This October, I was able to share 16 recipes, and update 2 old recipe blog posts!

Google Search Insights

My organic Google traffic continues to climb steadily (since last year), with some of last year’s posts ranking and gaining traffic this Fall! Curious to know how this will change after the Fall season is over, as much of my content is geared toward this season.

Lessons Learned

Most of my content is seasonal (to the Fall). In order to keep growing, I’ll need to diversify and focus on other seasons, evergreen content, and refine my Pinterest strategy!

My goal for next month is to target Winter and Spring in my content, and keep pitching to smaller brands.
