Ingredients

  • 1 pizza dough
  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 10 pepperoni slices
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh basil
  • 3 tbsp ricotta cheese
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Italian seasoning to taste

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) and roll out the pizza dough on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  2. Spread pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a bit of space around the edges.
  3. Top with mozzarella cheese, then add pepperoni slices evenly over the pizza.
  4. Dollop small spoonfuls of ricotta all over the pizza.
  5. Sprinkle fresh basil on top, along with Italian seasoning and black pepper.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add some grated Asiago cheese with the mozzarella.
  • Adjust the amount of ricotta based on your preference—some people love extra!
  • Consider adding a dash of red pepper flakes for a little heat.
